Reading for Enjoyment: You need to be reading at home regularly. This could be reading a novel, the newspaper, some articles on a website, or a magazine. Please tick the box for each night that you do this, and record the name of the text you’ve been reading.
Make a wanted poster for a nasty character in your book. Remember to explain why they are wanted, the crimes they are charged with, and how dangerous they are to approach.
Think about how to lay your poster out so that it draws attention and looks attractive. Digital posters could be entered into the MOA awards.
Maths: It’s great to see basic facts improving. Knowing your basic facts really well will help you to solve more challenging maths problems. Practise your ___ times tables everyday this week to make sure you are keeping up with the fast recall. Ask someone at home to sign each day of the week you complete this task.
Writing Activity: Convincing Argument.
Choose one of the topics below to write a convincing argument for. Remember to include at least 3 main points that back up your argument, and include several facts to back up each of your points.
Spelling: Being able to spell commonly used words accurately helps with the flow of ideas during writing. Practise your words everyday this week to make sure you know them. Ask someone at home to sign each day of the week you complete this task.
